INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION EXPANDS AT NAVOI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Another important event took place at Navoi International Airport. As part of an agreement organized by Jet Mate Aviation, a Boeing 737-500 aircraft operated by Kaya Airlines made a technical landing at Navoi International Airport on the Varna (Bulgaria) – Navoi – Najaf route.
The aircraft was given a ceremonial welcome with a symbolic “water salute”, created by water jets from the airport’s specialized firefighting and rescue vehicles. Representatives of Navoi International Airport LLC, led by Director Alisher Klichev, welcomed the crew with the traditional hospitality of the Uzbek people.
Aircraft Commander Carlos Delp familiarized himself with the airport’s infrastructure, specialized equipment, and the services provided, giving positive feedback on their capabilities. According to the crew members, the warm welcome was an unexpected and pleasant experience for them. They also expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in the future.
Importantly, flights within the framework of this cooperation will not be limited to this operation. Further flights on this route are planned in the coming weeks.
This day was also significant for Navoi International Airport for another reason — three international flights were serviced simultaneously. The airport’s staff, specialized equipment, and ground handling system once again demonstrated their capabilities by providing simultaneous service to three international flights.
