GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSPORT (BORDER) CONTROL

Dear Passengers,

Before your international flight, we recommend that you familiarize yourself in advance with the requirements for passport (border) control. Compliance with the established requirements will help you pass the control procedure more quickly and avoid delays.

1. General Provisions

Passport (border) control is a mandatory procedure when crossing the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the control procedure, the passenger’s documents and the legal grounds required for entry into, departure from, or transit through the Republic of Uzbekistan are checked.

The final decision on allowing a person to cross the State Border is made by the authorized border control unit after completion of the prescribed control procedures.

Citizens of foreign countries and stateless persons should check in advance whether a visa is required for entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan.

A visa-free regime is established for citizens of certain countries. The applicable conditions may depend on citizenship and the permitted duration of stay. For other categories of passengers, an appropriate entry visa or another document provided for by law may be required.

Passengers are advised to check the current requirements before travelling through official government resources and with the diplomatic mission of the relevant country.
