Representatives of Cargolux Airlines International S.A., one of the world's leading cargo airlines, visited Navoi International Airport.
During the visit, the representatives gained an in-depth understanding of the airport's aircraft refuelling capabilities, available fuel reserves, fuel quality, and laboratory testing procedures. Particular attention was paid to fuel quality control, compliance with international aviation standards, and ensuring the necessary conditions for flight operations.
As part of efforts to develop cooperation, the possibility of operating up to 40–50 flights per month is being considered. The introduction of flights at this scale could further intensify airport operations, expand the geographical reach of cargo transportation, and strengthen the airport's position in international logistics chains.
Cargolux's extensive international experience, combined with Navoi International Airport's strategic geographical location, existing infrastructure, and multimodal transport capabilities, provides a solid foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation.
The prospects for the planned partnership could create new opportunities not only for the airport's development but also for the regional economy as a whole. In particular, the cooperation could contribute to increasing cargo volumes, developing logistics and ground handling services, expanding export and import operations, and establishing new business partnerships.
